SMART KIDS ELC

Our Philosophy

At Smart Kidz Early Learning Centre educators and management aim to provide a consistent environment that is secure, warm and caring and is therefore designed to complement the child’s home environment and provide optimum care and opportunity for development.

We aim for an environment that creates a community of learners where all stakeholders are active participants in all aspects of the service- children, families, educators and members of the wider community.

A play based curriculum along with recreational activities, including free martial arts classes, is provided for your children to stimulate their imagination, creativity, decision making and the development of language and expression. Our program enhances development of physical, cognitive, social and life skills with emphasis placed on each child as an individual and the nurturing of positive self-esteem in order for each child to reach their full potential. We encourage each child to be involved in the direction their learning takes to ensure all children are genuinely interested in what they are doing.

Our educators are committed to ensuring all children receive equal education opportunities and are working through implementing the Early Years Learning Framework. Children’s observations and documentation is always linked to this framework.

We are committed to being advocates for children and their families and the early childhood profession, by allowing all parties to have a voice and also by ensuring we promote diversity, understanding and compassion towards others including peers, staff, families and the community in all aspects of our program and remain approachable and responsive to children’s and families needs.

We aim to promote appealing environments that provoke wonder, creativity, imagination and experimentation in the children, educators and families that interact within them. We endeavor to create a sustainable community, educating all stakeholders about the importance of looking after our precious environment.

We value the contributions made by all stakeholders and aim to present information in ways that are user friendly and easy to understand. The centre educators are committed to sharing knowledge, experience, strategies and theories regarding children’s development and needs as well as centre perspectives, via active and meaningful communication presented in multi-linguistic forms, both written and verbal.

We actively encourage families to become involved in the centre’s program, events and future planning and we endeavor to remain open and understanding towards families perspectives, needs and focus, encouraging respect for diversity of children and families home culture, language and lifestyle choices.

We aim to support each other to create a friendly environment by committing to sharing information, experiences and theories with each other along with continued training and professional development. We respect each other’s ideas and opinions, resolving conflict appropriately and always acting and speaking in a professional manner.

We will adhere to Centre Policies, The Code of Ethics, Regulations, Child Protection and any other guiding organisation of the Early Childhood Field as well as acting as a professional representative of Smart Kidz Early Learning Centre. We aim to promote an environment of respect and mentoring to each other, calling on each other’s strengths and guiding our team members if they require assistance.
